For over twenty years I worked in corporate environments, in roles where performance, targets and constant change were simply part of the job.
Like many managers, I experienced first-hand the pressure that can build when expectations are high, decisions need to be made quickly and the responsibility for a team sits on your shoulders. Over time I became increasingly interested in one question:
Why do some people seem able to stay calm, think clearly and lead effectively under pressure, while others find that same pressure slowly erodes their confidence and decision-making?
That question ultimately led me to the work I now do with organisations.
Alongside my corporate career, I developed a strong interest in how people learn, adapt and perform in demanding environments. This led me to complete a Level 5 CIPD Diploma in Learning and Development, where I focused on how learning programmes can create meaningful behavioural change within organisations.
Over the years I became particularly interested in the link between leadership behaviour, emotional regulation and team culture. Managers often sit in one of the most challenging positions in an organisation — responsible for delivering results while also supporting their teams through change, pressure and uncertainty.
When leaders struggle to regulate their own stress, it can unintentionally affect communication, decision-making and the wider team environment.
When leaders learn how to manage that pressure effectively, the impact can be transformative.
The Mindset Reset programme was developed to address a gap I repeatedly observed in workplace training.
Many organisations invest heavily in leadership development and wellbeing initiatives, yet managers are rarely taught how to regulate their own state in high-pressure situations.
Through my work with individuals and teams, I began integrating techniques drawn from behavioural psychology, nervous system regulation and leadership development to help people understand how stress affects the brain and behaviour, and how they can influence their response to pressure.
The result is a practical training approach that helps leaders:
recognise how pressure affects their thinking and communication
regulate their response in demanding situations
make clearer decisions
create calmer, more effective teams
Jennifer holds a Level 5 CIPD Diploma in Learning and Development and has undertaken extensive training in behavioural change, communication and performance psychology.
Her work is also informed by training in:
Clinical hypnotherapy
Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP)
Meditation and mindfulness practice
Counselling skills
These disciplines contribute to a deeper understanding of how people think, respond to pressure and create lasting behavioural change.
Jennifer also holds Mental Health First Aid certification and undertakes ongoing professional supervision as part of her continued professional development.
Alongside her corporate training work, Jennifer has spent several years supporting individuals to better understand their thinking patterns, emotional responses and behaviour.
She also hosts a wellbeing-focused radio show, where she explores topics related to mindset, resilience and personal development with a wider audience.
Jennifer’s work is grounded in a simple principle:
Resilience is not about pushing people to work harder or tolerate unhealthy environments. It is about helping leaders develop the awareness and tools to regulate pressure, communicate effectively and create healthier workplace cultures.
When leaders change how they respond to pressure, the ripple effect across teams can be significant.
